One of the more interesting histories of the Hamptons is the art movement of the 40's and 50's. Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner moved to The Springs, which a short drive from East Hampton in 1945. It was here Jackson Pollock did his most famous work. This house has preserved the spaces where he worked and is also a study center.
